ATEX zone classification

According to Section 8 (1) of the 3/2003. (III. 11.) FMM-ESzCsM joint decree on the minimum occupational safety requirements for workplaces in potentially explosive environments, the employer is required to prepare or have prepared zone classifications for those work areas under their control where explosive atmospheres may form.

If your company works with explosive materials, equipment, or technology, the first step is the classification of explosive zones. Based on this, the safety zones and applicable products will become clear to you.

It is important to note that zone classification alone does not always satisfy the legal requirements for explosion risk protection, but it is the starting point of the process. This activity qualifies as a safety technical task, for which our colleagues have the necessary certifications.
